(b 1986) Martin Lau Slåtten works as a researcher at IFS. Slåtten received an MA grant in 2014 and has worked for the institute since 2015.
In his research, Slåtten examines Norway’s involvement in post-World War II peacekeeping and stability missions led by the UN and NATO. He worked on the research project “the Norwegian Armed Forces in the Balkans, 1992–2005” from 2016 to 2019. The research findings were declassified in the spring of 2022 and will be published as a monograph in November of that same year.
