Museums
The Norwegian Armed Forces museum reserves the artefacts and documentation from Norway’s military history. The museums present the story as it truly was – honestly and accurately – so that you can understand the events that have shaped modern Norway.
The Norwegian Armed Forces Museum comprises seven merged museums and Akershus Castle. Our collection spans a wide range – from the everyday life of the ordinary soldier to groundbreaking technological and tactical advances. Together, they offer a comprehensive and honest insight into the development of the Armed Forces through the ages.
