An even stronger cooperation in place between The Norwegian Defence University College and the Centre of Excellence Cold Weather Operations
At Terningmoen Camp on May 09, 2025 a Technical Agreement (TA) was signed between The Norwegian Defence University College (NDUC) and the Centre of Excellence Cold Weather Operations (COE-CWO).
NDUC is already a part of COE-CWO’s network organization, but with the new TA in place an even stronger professional cooperation between NDUC and COE-CWO is in place.
This includes:
- Making the Norwegian- and Nordic knowledge about Cold Weather Operations more available to NATO
- Making NDUCs researcher community an even greater supportive factor in the Alliance’s ability to operate in a Cold Weather Environment across all domains
- The combined researcher community in both organizations will expand internationally through both their networks
- NDUC and COE-CWO will develop competence-promoting military activities in a Cold Weather Environment that will benefit both NATO and COE-CWO Framework nation Norway.
End state is a collaboration that contributes to a strengthening of NATO’s capability in Cold Weather Operations within the four support pillars of the COE to NATO, especially within Lessons Learned and Lessons Identified from the war in Ukraine and Allied exercises.
Both NDUC and COE-CWO look forward to see what the synergies the effects will have for the Alliance in the years to come.
