Our activities strengthen both the specialised capabilities of the Norwegian Cyber Defence and the Norwegian Armed Forces’ broader ability to understand and operate within the cyber domain in peace, crisis, and war.
The Norwegian Defence Cyber Academy conducts research and development in cyber security and cyber power to support military cyber operations from multiple perspectives.
Its research encompasses technology and its practical application; the exploitation of the logical layer of cyberspace at the tactical and operational levels; human factors at the tactical, joint operational and strategic levels; and security and defence policy at the strategic level.
In addition to cyber-focused research, but closely linked to the cyber domain, the researchers work on mobile radio communications, intelligent RF sensing, drone and satellite applications, and improving soldiers’ physical performance through targeted strength and endurance programmes.
The Norwegian Defence Cyber Academy is part of the Norwegian Defence University College.
