Faculty advisor in military joint operations at Command and Staff College, NDUC.
He has a bachelor degree in military studies, including Staff College.
Bauer has varied service in the Navy, with mostly experience within the Submarine Service, including three years as a commanding officer on Kobben/Ula-class submarines.
Bauer has five years of service in NATO/Allied Command Transformation/Staff Element Europe at SHAPE, working on defence planning and maritime requirements.
Since 2010 he has been teaching master students in military joint operations, both planning and execution. Additionally, since 2020, he has been in charge of teaching bachelor students in joint operations at all the NDUC war colleges.
