In 2017, she was appointed as the first humanist chaplain in the Norwegian Armed Forces. Since 2019, she has served at the Norwegian Military Academy, where her duties include teaching ethics and conducting ethical and existential conversations with cadets and staff. In 2024, she began her doctoral studies at the University of Humanistic Studies in the Netherlands.

The PhD-project focuses on moral challenges and stress experiences among Norwegian combat veterans, and how a virtue-ethical approach to military professional ethics can prepare future military leaders for morally and existentially challenging situations of warfare, during and afterwar. The project takes an interdisciplinary approach and explores the intersection of moral philosophy, moral psychology, and pedagogy.
