Robin Sitter
(b. 1993) Robin Sitter is associated with the research program on veterans and veteran policy through his project on the Norwegian military forces in Egypt (UNEF) 1956–1967. The purpose of the project is to provide a systematic, comprehensive, and research-based presentation of Norway's 11-year military participation in UNEF.
Sitter completed his master's degree in history at the University of Oslo in the spring of 2019. His master's thesis addressed the political considerations and motives underlying the establishment and maintenance of Norway's military contribution to the UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) 1978–1998.
Furthermore, Sitter has worked with Norway's participation in the UN force in Congo (ONUC), 1960–1964. This work shed new light on the everyday life, attitudes, and behaviour patterns of the Norwegian UN soldiers.
