“Military exercises and wargaming in professional military education” – a special issue of the Scandinavian Journal of Military Studies.
Exercises and wargaming have long been integral parts of professional military education. The objective: to teach students how to make better decisions more quickly. In this brief video Peter Perla, Carsten Rønnfeldt and Vårin Alme introduce a 2022-publication on the topic.
In 12 articles international experts along with scholars and teaching staff at the Norwegian Defence University College (NDUC) and the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI) offer classroom-based examples and discuss their experiences with using exercises and games in military education.
