is a research fellow at the Norwegian Institute for Defence Studies, Centre for international security. She holds a Master of Political Science from the University of Oslo as well as a Master of International Relations from the Geneva School of Diplomacy and International Relations. She has completed academic exchanges to China, Switzerland and Argentina. 

Vivi’s research primarily focus on digital surveillance, utilization of data and cyberpower. She has analyzed the risk posed by commercial surveillance in a state security perspective, examined Norwegian military cyber strategy and cyberpower-potential, as well as evaluated draft resolution for legislation of the secret services (høring av Forslag til ny lov om Etterretningstjenesten). As a MA scholar at the Norwegian Defense Research Establishment (FFI), her second thesis "Soft war in cyberspace" examined how Syrian non-state actors used cyberspace to influence the conflict's narrative. Her first thesis was submitted with honors and evaluated how culture influence criminal organizations adaptation to regime change in China and Russia. She has worked as a Scandinavian Data Protection Officer, at the communication agency Geelmuyden Kiese, and as an intern at both the International Telecommunication Union and the International Campaign to Ban Landmines (ICBL-CMC).
