11 March – Ørland Air Force Base (CORE 26)
The Norwegian Armed Forces invite media representatives to attend a media event at Ørland Air Force Base in connection with Exercise Cold Response 2026.

The event 11th of March will provide insight into air operations and allied activities conducted from Ørland, including contributions from Norway, the United States, Finland, Germany and the AWACS.

Please note that all participants must go through a security clearance process upon arrival.
Programme (subject to change)
- Briefing: Ørland Air Force Station and Cold Response 2026
- Static display: Norwegian F-35
- Interviews: With detachment commanders and pilots from Norway and participating nations
- Takeoffs: Norwegian F-35, US F-35, German A400, Finland F-18 and NATO AWACS. Photo/video opportunities around 50 meters from the runway.
- Tour: Briefing and guided tour of the NATO AWACS (Airborne Warning and Control System)
- Static display: Norwegian Air Defence (NASAMS) which is participating in the exercise. Interview opportunities with personell from the Norwegian Air Defence.
The media event is expected to conclude at approximately 16:00.
Registration and practical information
- There are limited places available.
- Deadline for non-Norwegian citizens: 5th of March 2026
- Deadline for Norwegian citizens: 8th of March 2026
- The programme is subject to change due to operational requirements.
- Foreign journalists must bring a valid passport for identification.
- Norwegian journalists must bring a valid driver’s licence or equivalent national ID.
