Media Opportunities in Finland
During Exercise Cold Response 2026, the Finnish Defence Forces will organize three separate media events in Finland. These events provide accredited media representatives with opportunities to observe exercise activities and conduct interviews with participating personnel.
Logistics Media Day – Reception and Movement of Forces
Media representatives will have the opportunity to observe the cross-border movement of Allied troops and equipment into Finland. The program includes a briefing on RSOM activities (Reception, Staging, and Onward Movement) as well as interview opportunities with representatives of the Finnish Defence Forces Logistics Command and reservists.

Army Media Day – Live-Fire Exercise at Rovajärvi Training Area

10:00 Exercise briefing
11:00 Observation of live-fire training, equipment display, and field lunch (interview opportunities)
15:00 Return transport to Rovaniemi (Someroharju)

Air Force Media Day – Flight Operations at Rovaniemi Air Base
Program overview: Media representatives will assemble at 08:30 at the parking area adjacent to the main gate of Rovaniemi Garrison (Someroharjuntie 6). Transportation will be provided to the Lapland Air Wing air base. A detailed program will be distributed to registered participants closer to the event. The media event will conclude by 12:00.

Accreditation and Registration
Media representatives must register separately for each event by the deadlines listed. The following information is required upon registration:
- Full name, date of birth, and nationality
- Passport number (required for non-Finnish nationals)
- Media organization and role (journalist / photographer)
- Contact information (telephone number and email address)
Important: Participation is subject to approval and requires the presentation of a valid photo identification document on site.
