7 March: German and Norwegian MoD visit
Germany's Minister of Defence, Boris Pistorius, and his Norwegian counterpart, Bjørn Arild Gram, visit exercise Nordic Response 2024 on 6 and 7 March.
The cooperation between Norway and Germany is vital and is growing stronger. We highly appreciate the strategic bilateral cooperation in regards to security and defence policy. It is of mutual interest that we continue to deepen and broaden this cooperation.
Norway and Germany are long-standing and close partners in defence procurements. We have recently entered into a long-term, strategic partnership on submarines and missiles, which is valuable and beneficial for both nations.
During their visit, the two MoDs will have bilateral talks and visit participating troops. The two ministers also invite to a joint press conference on Thursday 7 March at 12:00 noon CET at Skillemoen Industrial Estate (Norwegian: Skillemoen industriområde)
The press conference will be be a joint session and questions are to be asked in plenary. There will not be any one-on-one interviews in connection to the press conference.
