Through the course, cadets will increase their knowledge and skills to plan, deploy, customize, securely operate and develep military information and communication systems. The course is divided into two modules. Module 1 provides a theoretical and practical foundation for the customization and operation of the Norwegian Armed Forces' secure platforms and their associated network solutions and applications. In module 2, the cadets are given the opportunity to experiment and gain experience in how new ICT solutions can improve how a military unit executes its missions. The module is carried out in collaboriation with the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment and representatives from the Norwegian national defence industry, and it provides a basic understanding of the opportunities and challenges within ICT related innovation in Norway's defence sector.
The course is based on ING1501 The Cyber Engineer's Profession, ING1506 Computer Networking, ING2506 Telecommunications, ING2507 Transmission, ING2503 Information Security, ING1503 Programming and Digital technology, ING1507 Computer Architecture, ING2504 Operating Systems and ING3508 Military Information Infrastructure.
