The purpose of the Praxis Course is to provide cadets with insight into and hands-on experience of the role of training leader and platoon commander within their respective branch or troop type.

The course combines theoretical instruction at the Norwegian Military Academy with courses and practical training periods in various units. It provides cadets with the opportunity to independently plan, conduct, and evaluate training, exercises, and daily operations at platoon level within the Army. Through varied practical experience and professional specialization within their own branch, cadets develop the comprehensive understanding required to function effectively as training leaders and platoon commanders upon graduation.
