Cadets are introduced to the historical development of military information infrastructures and their role as a premise for how military operations are organized and carried out. Selected parts of the Norwegian Armed Forces' information infrastructure (II) are used as a reference. Cadets gain a basic understanding of requirements, opportunities, limitations and potential related to the Norwegian Armed Forces' II - including organizational as well as technical perspectives. Particular emphasis is placed on the Norwegian Armed Forces' communications infrastructure and the Norwegian Armed Forces' secure platforms and the services that they provide.
